Which is true All cells come from other cells During adulthood the body stops producing cells Organs make all of the cells in an organism Cells depend on the brain to divide?

Out of all of those statements, the only true statement is that all cells come from other cells. Cells do not stop producing themselves once one reaches adulthood and organs do not make cells in the body. Also, cells do not depend on the brain to create more cells.

Where do the cells divide to produce hair?

matrix cells

What are types of cells in your body are no longer undergoing mitosis?

These are called permeant cells. Examples are adult neurons, striated muscles, cardiac muscle, RBCs and cells of lens in the eye.

Human cells that do not divide?

Heart (Myocyte - except after MI) and brain cells (Neurons)

Does it really kill brain cells when you breathe in the smell of gas?

It would depend on the gas you inhale

Does the brain reproduce brain cells?

NO. The brain cells and other nerve cells once formed in the embryo do not divide further in the entire lifetime. Once dead they are not replace. No matter what you do even medicine wont make new ones. Nothing can remake the cells and the cells do not get cut in half to make two.

Is there a cell in the human body that can't divide?

Permanent cells are incapable of dividing. Examples of these cells include neurons of the brain. Sperm and ovum cells or gametes are actually reproductive cells that do divide by meiosis to reach a haploid number of chromosomes; they cannot be considered somatic (body) cells.

Why damage cells in the brain or spinal are not replaced?

Because those cells lack the ability to divide. Once nerve cells specialize from stem cells, they lose the ability to go through mitosis

Why brain cells do not utilise fatty acids and depend on ketone bodies?

In the Alzheimer's brain, insulin does not function well and does not help brain cells gather glucose from the blood which fuels their function. Ketones work as an alternate brain fuel. Ketones can be synthesized in your liver from coconut oil.

How long does it take for one parent cell to become two daughter cells?

In humans, rapidly dividing cells, such as skin and gut divide as often as once per day. Other cells such as brain and nerve tissue divide rarely in an adult.

Which cells don't divide?

Brain cell do not divide in later life. Cardiac muscle divides itself less than 1% each year in humans.

Which of the following cell types are least sensitive to ionizing radiation damage?

cells that divide slowly
