∙ 9y agoInsects are not a part of the cat's normal diet. But as small critters move about the indoor cats can get exited enough of the hunt and eventually eat their prey, the insect.
If the cats were living in the nature their kittens would eat worms and other little critters to add to their diet, the food their mother would bring. So keeping that in mind, it is not that exceptional to find cats eating bugs. Adult cats would not do that in nature, though. It would be wasting their effort and energy.
But as we keep indoor cats in a way always childlike (we neuter them and provide them with regular food supply) the cats have the extra energy to blunder into a pure joyride: hunting an unworthy prey.

∙ 12y agoYes they do because the centipede feeds on the spider.I know that spiders feed on bugs but I don't think the centipede is a bug I don't know but yes centipedes do kill spiders for food.

Cats can eat spiders, this will not hurt the cat (but will definitely hurt the spider). Most cats would rather eat their cat food, but there is a certain excitement in catching your own prey, even if it is just a spider.
