Ideally, chicken eggs should be gathered, cleaned and refrigerated each day. An egg left outside in warm weather will be just fine for consumption even after several days as long as the egg isn't exposed to direct sunlight. Eggs left in warm weather for several days should be refrigerated after they are gathered, and should be consumed at your earliest convenience.
If the nest is in shade, you can pick up the eggs that day or next, or within 4 or 5 days.. Do not leave very many eggs in the nest for more than a couple days, or you will have a hen going broody...
I've had my electric go off during a hatch for a day & still had a 50% hatch rate. I'd say it depend on how low the temperature get, how long it stays there & how far along the hatch is. If you have a cabinet type incubator you can fill 2 liter coke bottles with warm water & place in the incubator. If you lose power or heating element goes bad it will stay warmer a lot longer & nothing else it holds a more steady tempature, due to the extra mass. Please take note, if you use cold water it will take quite some time to get the temperature up to 99.5,as it'll have to heat up the water while getting up the air.
Maybe but mostly yes.
Fertile chicken eggs hatch in about 21 days, given warm temperatures and proper movement of the eggs by the hen. If you don't have a rooster in your flock, the hens won't lay fertile eggs and they'll just spoil.
