YES. All my leaves on my young (planted 4/2019) LSU fig tree were recently chewed off overnight. I found deer hoofprints around it. The tree is still alive and the main branches are fine. I surrounded the tree with 4' tall dogwire with lower area chicken wire too! I attached pieces o my hair (taken from hairbrush) to it as the human scent is supposed to be a deterrent. I live in wooded area, and always see deer. Having a garden is futile.

Not the whole tree, no. They will eat the fruit from the tree and the leaves. If there are no leaves within reach they might eat the bark.
