I have 2 Russian dwarf hamsters. They like to have they're privacy when they're sleeping so they usually like to be in shade, or in a hiding place that is cozy. If you don't already have one, get them a little hut or hiding place to sleep in, some soft bedding, and some cotton fluff would be nice for they're hiding place but always make sure the fluff is safe for DWARF hamsters. If it is not, it will usually say that some where on it. If you're still unsure ask a professional at a pet store.
Awww! Do you have one? How cute!! Sorry... I think they do if they're not eating or sleeping. They like to be cupped in your hands...
Even smaller Hamsters.
You shouldn't keep a dwarf in a cage.
Most of the time, i have 2 Chinese dwarf hamsters kept in the same cage and they are fine, Hope This Helps
Well, many people think that Dwarf hamsters bite more than other hamsters. this may be true with some, but they are just like any other hamster. they only bite if they are scared, nervous, or even just because your hand may smell like food. if you do have a dwarf hamster that bites, you can get them to stop just like i did. it really isn't that hard. also some may bite because they might have been sleeping and someone woke them up or they were eating or even just because they might not be in a good mood...also, hamsters don't like it when your hand is in their cage.
Yes
by normal, if you mean sirian hamsters then the main difference is that Chinese hamsters belong to the dwarf hamster species, which are considerably smaller and arent as friendly (believe me, i know, i own two!).
Dwarf hamsters are social and they like to live with other dwarf hamsters, it depends if it wants to be alone or not because if it want to sleep then yes, you should leave it alone.
Anything you like, really. :)
