How do you know when you are emo?
Well... I first KNEW i was emo when i started getting depressed, and i started runnin' with the "emo crowd" and i started not following rules and i was cutting and crying all of the time so i knew i was emo. and also when people started to tell me i was turning into an emo kid.

Of course they can! Being emo doesn't mean that you have to hang around with emo's, date emo's or have anything to do with other emo's. Emo is a style, not an actual race of people, that seems to be forgotten quite a lot.
