That is a good question. I have asked myself that as my son has been growing though puberty. What I can say is that he has been having more Flatulence and it has smelled a lot more (a cannot stress how much more). On top of that, I remember back when I was going threw puberty and I had the same issues (including the smell). It would makes since Flatulence would be affected. After all your body chemistry is changing and digestion relies heavily on your body chemistry. However, this is strictly an "observation" and not "scientific fact" so if a doctor/chemist tells you I'm full of it, then go with the doctor/chemist.
