Cats, Dogs and many other animals all make good pets it all depends on how much time you have to spend on them.
I have domesticated feral cats. With time, patience. food and allowing them to decide they wish to be with you they can be pets. Friendship can not be forced. Trust is built over time.

Feral means wild, like a bobcat or a lion or something. Domestic cats are like cats you keep as pets.

yes becuase they are delicate and fun to be around with
Although wild cats may suffer from construction and cities, it is highly doubtful that they will become extinct in the near future. More cities --> more cats as pets --> more abandoned or escaped cats --> more feral cats. More cities --> more food for feral cats. More roads --> slightly less cats due to being run over, but not enough to make a big difference.
Cats prefer to live in a house but some are feral and live outside.
Persian cats do make good pets. They make good pets if you have time to give them attention, brush them ect.But for the most part they can entertain themselves and are litter-box trained so I would recommend them as great pets! Not to mention they're so adorable!
as long as you don't have cats as that is their favourite food ...
No!
If by wild cats you mean actual wild native animals, no, they should not be exterminated. If you mean feral cats, domestic cats that have been released from captivity as pets, my feeling as a wildlife rehabilitator is yes, they should be trapped and euthanized. Feral cats cause incalculable damage to native birds and other wildlife. They carry diseases which can be spread to humans and pets. Feral cats are the single most important carrier of rabies. Not only that, it is cruel to leave these animals to fend for themselves. They need to be relieved of their misery. Our native wildlife deserves protection from these animals.
