depends on the fish, how it's taken care of, and the species deep water fish can only live down there and will die if taken any higher i know most animals do better in captivity, except some species like panda bears

∙ 14y agoThat is a decision that each person needs to make on their own. I'm not going to pretend that aquariums arent damaging and wasteful; they are. They are a frivolity, and not a nessessity, the waste energy, and produce wastes such as plastic. They take wild animals from their native habitats, sometimes resulting in habitat descruction and reduction of the wild population. They are however, a lot of fun. Its up to you to decide if it is right or wrong for you to keep an aquarium.
