Well, yes, because that is what they do when they breed gerbils. You have to be cautious though, use the best proven method rather than just plopping two in a cage. This proven method is called the split cage method. Make a screen out of chickenwire and a wooden frame, in the tank or cage put it in the middle like a barrier. Have a gerbil on one side and the new one on the other side with all their neccessities. Trade handfuls of bedding every day for a week, they will be able to watch each other, smell each other, but not fight with each other through the fence. Beyond the seventh day you can remove the barrier but watch them closely and be cautious to make sure they do not fight. If those signs do show that they are about to fight then please separate them.

I have learned that gerbils and hamsters or any kind of rodent are very protective of their home and food. For example if you put two hamsters in a cage with one bowl of food and one of the hamsters takes some food and buries it in a hut or something if the other hamster were to come and try to eat that food it would most likely end in a fight. To answer your question they should not eat each other but are very likely to fight and bite, which is not safe. If you do want to put two in a cage try to buy them together don't just add another one to a gerbil you have already had. Also ask a store assistant if the gerbils you like have interacted or are kind with each other.

Answer

Yes, they do. They definitely eat their own babies and placenta, so I'm certain that they would eat their own brethren if they were really hungry or really hated them.

If you put 2 females and 1 male and vica versa they will: the 2 females would kill the male and again vice versa i don't know weather they eat them though. =/

Yes, gerbils live in groups from 2 to 25 in the wild and they still like company in captivity. It is reccomended that you have 3 gerbils, in case one dies so that the other two still have company. however some gerbils may not get along and fight over territory.

When there babys, yes. But not two grown gerbils. I would get a cage separtator. Otherwise, they are very soicible animals.

It depends because if they are not in the same family it will be highly likely but if the younger gerbil is a girl they might just like each other

Can you put 1 boy guinea pig with a girl one?

There is no limit, assuming you have a big enough cage, to how many guinea pigs of different sexes and/or sizes you can physically put together. I am not sure if you will get baby guinea pigs out of it though.

Can you put new guinea pigs with existing guinea pigs?

It's a good idea to put the two guinea pigs in separate cages so that they can see each other. This is so they can get used to each other and will prevent fighting and stress when they are put together.

Will guinea pigs fight if you put them in a cageif you get them from two different stores?

It depends on the age of the guinea pigs. There shouldn't be any trouble between the two guinea pigs if they're under three months old and if they're introduced properly. It's also best if the two guinea pigs are watched closely for a little while until it is evident that they both get along with each other.

If guinea pigs are on a diet what do they eat?

Guinea pigs shouldn't be put on a diet. You just reduce the amount of treats you give etc

Can you put guinea pigs and hamsters together?

No, that's a bad idea because they might fight and sometimes, not often though, mother guinea pigs eat anything threatening- horrible. People put rabbits and guinea pigs together but you shouldn't do that either :( hope thet helped I wouldn't. Where guinea pigs are bigger, their more likely to want all the space. Try and get two cages, one for the guinea pig and one for the hampster. But if you want your guinea pig to meet the hampster.... thens that's a different story.
