Until the late 1900's, it was very common for men to make the first move- to kiss first. Today, however, it is no longer "customary" for men to kiss first; women kiss first just as much as men do.
MUSTACHES!
No, not all French men have curly mustaches. Mustache styles vary among individuals and personal grooming preferences. It is a stereotype to suggest that all French men have curly mustaches.

Facebook added mustaches to smiley faces as part of a Movember initiative to raise awareness for men's health issues. The mustaches are meant to symbolize support for men's health and encourage conversations about topics like prostate cancer and mental health.
Yes they do - but why? People from Asia tend to have more visible mustaches than Americans and Europeans. European girl's mustaches aren't as visible - no where near, so they don't have to worry about it. Girls' mustaches are not as big as boys' though, they stay the same forever, unless someone shaves it. Remember don't talk about that with girls. It makes them feel uncomfortable and makes them feel more stressful about appearance (girls' are plenty stressful enough!).

Supposedly Amish men shave their mustache because it is considered an "adornment" or embellishment and that would be contrary to their concept of being plain. They shave their mustaches because in the 18th and 19th centuries, military men wore mustaches, and the "plain folk" are pacifists.
