Yes this is very likely. All it would take is a ecosystemal change that makes sharks and dolphins develop a form of mutualism. Over time they will evolve mutually together as their enviroments change and it is no great stretch to think that they will one day try to have sex and it will work.

Do great whites live alone?

The details concerning the lifestyle of the Great White are by no means complete, there is much that isn't known or understood. But research and long-term study have given new insights into their life and behavior. It has become clear that many do live in resident groupings, where they have an established "dominance hierarchy", and social structure. The ranking appears to be related to size, sex, and "squatters rights". The female sharks are dominate over the male sharks, larger sharks dominate the smaller ones, and resident sharks dominate any sharks new to the area or "newcomers". Also, while feeding Great White sharks don't appear to fight, but separate to settle any disputes by posturing, using displays, and other rituals, intended to intimidate their opponent. They have found Great Whites with bite marks that matched a Great White, but it seems they rarely use actual combat for resolution. It's believed that the bite marks may be a warning bite, when one shark gets too close, it might cause an instinctive response from the crowded shark, triggering the warning bite. Who is the great white sharks enemy?

The great white shark's considered an apex predator. It's at the top of the food chain. And it shares that #1 position with other apex predators of the air, ground, and water. But apex predators tend to respect each other's territories. So it's generally stated that the only enemy of the great white shark, and of other apex predators, is people. For people have an impact through hunting; and by the environmental degradation that affects the food chain, and water quality.
