If you're in the water it might be difficult to think of these (deadly) creatures as anything but harmful. Around here however we have a problem with too many harbour seals eating up all the salmon fry we grow in our fish hatcheries. A lot of people are wishing for killer whales and great whites to show up and help us.

∙ 13y agoGenerally, sharks only hunt for seals, and most shark attacks were caused because the shark mistook a human for a seal. So, they have the ability to hurt humans, but they do not intentionally hunt us.

∙ 12y agoHelpful to keep the food chain going round, otherwise without them there would be like, an overpopulated amount of small fish in the sea. But harmful like, that man on honeymoon that got killed in the sea by one. That is harmful.

∙ 9y agoWhale sharks are filter feeders, meaning they eat microscopic plankton. Hence, they would not attack and eat a human. They are big enough that they could accidentally injure a human, and if a human provoked them enough, they could kill a human.

Yes, actually they have. There is a guy well known named Rodney Fox who was almost killed by a great white. When you are far out into the open sea, Great Whites are around. In fact, great whites aren't even the deadliest sharks. Sharks are attracted to blood, splashing, bright colors, and jewelry.
