Well I have a hamster and you can really tell her emotions. Well when they are angry they usally open their mouth and show you their top teeth. Some times they stand up while doing that. When they are happy, affectionate, or want to be held put your hand down in the cage and try to pet it. If it stays where it is and does not move than you start picking it up and is does not nibble on you than you can hold it. ( The hamster will squirm and wiggle! ) And really hamsters dont really have to many emotions because there brains are so tiny they can really think clearly! Hope this helps and good luck!!!!!!!!
Depends who you ask. A hamster will exhibit what apears to be an emotional response when scared, but that may just be an instinctive reaction for the purpose of survival. Every study done with regards to animals and their emotions has me with a large amount of argument (for both sides) Only hamsters could answer your question with any degree of certainty and unfortunately they don't communicate with humans.
Yes, I think people can efect the mood of hamsters. They make them feel a variety of emotions. From feeling like home to scaring them.
