no the best way is you go to the pharmasist and ask them for the strongest shampoo to get rid of lice it should be from the brand "life" it comes wit 2 nit combs use it 4 times daily for 2 weeksyou need 2 bottles of it each one is 20$ it works it for pubic lice and head lice and their nits

In general unless your washer is pretty crappy washing your clothes/towels/linen will kill lice because of temperature and soap.
I recommend hot water since lice can't take very hot temperatures but from what I've heard just plain washing in a washing machine and dryer does the trick quite well.
