In the past there were som structural adaptions that helped certain races survive. For example the stereotype that African Americans have bigger appendeges is based in some fact. In Africa it is extremely hot which means that our bodies had to come up with a way to release more sweat. If their body has a bigger surface area, it has the ablity to release more sweat which cools down the body.
