Some humans do yes, but this is not a good idea.
Burmese pythons are indigenous to Africa, but many snake owners have released their Burmese pythons into the wild of Florida, a climate in which these snakes are thriving and causing a real problem.
There are many popular species these days. They include Rat snakes, Boa constrictors, Royal pythons, Burmese pythons, Amethyst pythons, Green tree pythons, Green tree boas, Corn snakes, King snakes, Gopher snakes, African house snakes and many more. Boa constrictors and Burmese pythons are only for 'experienced keepers - as they grow very big - fairly quickly !
Burmese Pythons came to America the way many exotic animals do, through zoos, pet stores, wildlife refuges, etc. Many have ended up in the wild in the U.S. due to hurricanes and irresponsible owners.
Children's Python and Eastern small Blotched Pythons are both great pets and are small.
Yes. All humans keep pets of some sort.
Because Burmese Pythons are a native reptile species of the Burma and India regions of Asia ! Releasing one into the wild of any other country would not only put the snake at risk from predators - but risk it feeding on domestic animals (including pets !)
keep them as pets
They're an invasive species in Florida, usa. As usual - the human race is to blame for their introduction ! People bought them as babies when they were only a few inches long. Sadly, these snakes grow large very quickly - attaining a length of eight feet in their first year ! Irresponsible owners, who found they couldn't cope - simply dumpedthis alien species into the wild - and now are complainingthat their pets are being attacked - by a reptile that is simply doing what is natural behaviour for the species - predation on suitably-sized mammals for food !
Well' it totally depends. A reticulated python is around 15 feet long and can easly kill humans and deer. Ball pythons are very good pets and are very nice but not strong only 5 feet long
People keep hamsters as pets because it is an easy-first-pet animal to take care of and can be trained and held.
They get the same size as a regular ball python, spider refers to their colour/pattern.
Because they want them for entertainment and sometimes for children
