no. just use a socket to remove after removing electrical connects between the glow plugs. this is assuming you have a 1702 Kubota diesel. almost like removing a spark plug out of a gas engine.
one glow pump is hard to get out. may have to remove a ejector feed line for clearance.
hope this helps.
You have to remove the upper intake manifold.
hi there you have to remove the top engine mount and inlet manifold about 15 bolts its a bit potchy to get out and then you can get at the heater plugs
assuming its a V6... You have to remove the air intake manifold in order to get to the back three plugs. The front three you simply remove plastic cover and remove.
You have to remove the intake manifold to access the plugs in the back.
You have to remove the upper intake manifold.
I just changed my glow plugs in the same car. It's a 97, though, so it may be a little different. 1) Remove the piece of plastic that covers part of intake manifold 2) Remove the intake manifold taking note of of the small hoses underneath the manifold and disconnecting the large intake air duct at the front. 3) Remove the electric wire on the top of the plug. Try not to loose the nuts. 4) Remove the glowplug itself 5) Insert new glowplug 6) Attach electrics 7) Move to the next plug It wasn't to hard to accomplish. I changed all 6 plugs in about 2 hours once i figured out I had to remove the intake manifold. Good luck!
You cant chance the spark plugs with out removing the manifold sorry dude i have tried every possible way there is and its not going to happen :(
Yes, if the intake blocks access to the spark plugs.
On v6 remove upper intake manifold
You will need to remove the air intake manifold under this you will find the glow plugs Can you help I am a novice and not sure how to take to air intake manifold off? thanks
you must remove upper intake manifold to access these plugs
to change plugs on driver side remove 10 screw on coil cap, remove all three coil cap and use plug socket and ratchet to remove plugs and replace them. to replace plugs on passenger side, remove intake manifold cover by removing all 10 screws and nut on it and also all attachment on sides of manifold for easy lifting.remove all three srews on coil cap, remove coil caps and replace plugs like above.I just replaced a clients plugs for the 2005 Nissan exterra.
