I don't think so, probably only if they could work. Mostly, they were killed.
Added: Yes, even children were sent to the Concentration Camps - reason being is that the people being sent there thought they were only going to work camps and didn't know they were going to be killed. The Nazi's feared that if the children were forcibly removed from the parents prior to their reaching the camps, there would be rioting among the Jews, et al, that even they wouldn't be able to suppress. So entire families were sent to the camps so that the children could be removed from the parents under tightly controlled and secure conditions.
Why is this in the Holocaust category*? I go to North Star which is located in northern Wisconsin. It is a great overnight camp and has everything there. People from all over the US go there. *If you meant concentration camps, what's wrong with you?!
During the Holocaust the Jews were first sent to ghettos and from there to extermination camps and concentration camps. After the Holocaust many Jews were unable to go home and had to live in camps for Displaced Persons until they could find somewhere permanent.
Just before the end of the second world war the Nazis tried to burn down the concentration camps so that there would be no evidence of what they did. This was not done very successfully as you can still go and visit some of the concentration camps such as Auschwitz.
that is abit of a silly question because no one wanted to go to the concentration camps but if the Germans found them they had to go as soon as they arrived they knew that they were going into the camps

The Holocaust had Concentration Camps or Forced labor camps to destroy the Jews. They would force them to go to these camps and give them little food and force them to work until they died, or they just killed them out right. ___ In the then Soviet Union the Nazis often simply shot Jews in open country, but in Western and Central Europe they weren't keen on this. ___ There were different kinds of camps for different purposes. The key distinction is between ordinary concentration camps, which were use for slave labour and extermination camps, which existed only to kill.

Hannah never actually went to a concentration camp. She was sent to two camps, but they weren't concentration camps.
Anne Frank wrote in her diary that the Jews who did not go into hiding were being arrested, sent to concentration camps, and faced the risk of being killed during the Holocaust.
