If your bearded dragon is more than 18 months old it is considered within mating age, anything less than 18 months and your bearded dragon is too young. If you are not sure of your bearded dragon's age is of mating age and it is a male then you can introduce it for a short time to another male. If you observe territorial behavior in your male than it is of mating age.

A male dragon can often bob his head as a mating dance. If he sees a female, he will look at her, and bob his head. (It is basically asking permission to mate with it) This is their way of communicating. But the head bob can mean several things, it can also be a way of the dragon showing dominance.
