First it's the Air Force, Navy, Army, then Marines. Women do a lot more than the public thinks.
40 people because the other army had more people than this army.
20. Question unclear. More what than slaves?

No, each individual who enlist to any branch of service enlist as an E-1 unless they have college credits, JROTC time or Eagle Scouts. Now the Army has more opportunities for promotion while in the Delayed Entry Program (DEP) prior to shipping than any other branch of service. No one branch out ranks any other unless the you have an individual who is high in pay grade than those in another branch.
Marius was the consul who opened up the army to the poor and encouraged them to enlist. This was necessary as the propertied class had shrunk, and the invasion by the Germanic tribes demanded more forces than could be provided from the normal resources of the small-farmers.
No, no army has more ships than its navy.
Army and Marine corp can give 'moral waivers' and allow a person with only 1 felony conviction to enlist. If more than 1 conviction you are SOL for army or marine corp. The air Force and Navy allow waivers for multiple convictions, but waivers are a lot harder to get in these branches of the service.
Cutoff age is 42 for the Army. Even as a trained sniper/sharpshooter, you have to consider that what you were trained for (I'm assuming law enforcement) is significantly different or more oriented on one aspect of it than military sniper training is.
Pretty short - the current height minimum for both men and women for Navy enlistment is 51" (4'3").Of course the requirement is taller for the Army and Marines; they want people to at least be taller than the packs they're carrying.
No. You must be a legal resident of the United States and have a high school diploma or GED equivalent to enlist in the army. Go to www.goarmy.mil for more information on the requirements to join the US Army. The US does not recognize dual citizenship. Citizens of foreign countries must give up their foreign citizenship and become permanent residents of the US. Those who do not become US citizens may not serve for more than 8 years in the Army.
