No, moths do not bite.="h2headingh2"style="color:rgb(0,0,0);"name="no,_moths_do_not_bite.">Moth larvae have mouths so they can eat things, like the old clothes in your attic.

Moths may not have teeth, but they do burn. I had one land on my leg, and all of a sudden it felt like I was burned. I thought it was a coincidence, but when it landed on my leg again, I felt the burn again. It may be something like a house fly, if you are a little sweaty, and one lands on you, you can feel the sting.

Do moths spread diseases?

Pantry moths are harmless to humans. They do not carry disease, bite or sting. However, they can create a serious nuisance as they quickly colonize any suitable grain products, including birdseed, flour, cereal and oatmeal. Sometimes the larvae will infest dried fruits and herbs, as well. The moths are able to penetrate packaging to lay their eggs and larvae are often found inside unopened plastic bags. They may also leave casings on walls, inside cabinets and on ceilings.
