I don't know about sleeping for days at a time. But my ex, would have insomnia. She would have her "Rage" episodes sometimes in the middle of the night. We would go to bed and everything was fine. I would wake up in the middle of the night and she would be very angry accusing me of whatever. I could say one little thing during the day not thinking anything of it, and she would twist what I said in her mind and I guess dwell on that until she exploded. This happened about 3 times I dated her for 7 months.

Yes, I have heard that narcissists get a weird high from working long hours (kind of like a state of mania) and then suddenly crashing and sleeping for 72 hours at a time. I know a particular narcissist that does this.
