If it is a water cooled vehicle the is yes
It its broadest sense the engine & radiator are the storage containers.
More specifically the expansion bottle (also known as a header tank) which is connected to the vehicles radiator could be classed as a water container.
with carborator - cover and spray down with soapy water Or newer cars - just spray down with soapy water
On newer cars it is a copy on the top of the engine marked "OIL".
Check the owners manual for your car. Older cars run water only, middle aged cars run 50% water and 50% anti freeze and newer cars run 100% anti freeze. Once you know what you car requires just wait until you engine is cold, take off the radiator cap or the the fill cap of the plastic overflow container and add to the full line on the container. The above answer is totally incorrect, and you should ignore it. The person that posted this does not know what they are talking about. Older cars do not run pure water and newer cars do not run pure anti-freeze. All vehicles require a 50/50 mix of antifreeze and distilled water. In extremely cold climates a 60/40 mix may be necessary. Running pure water or pure anti-freeze are both ansking for trouble. Pure water provides no protection whatsoever. And pure anti-freeze will freeze at a higher temperature than a mix.
cans on newer cars most of the engine. the transmission. brake parts
Yes and no, the function of antifreeze is to provide a much lower freezing point in winter and higher boiling point in the summer. Antifreeze also provides additives to prevent internal corrosion of engine components. Newer cars may overheat if you try and run water alone.
Yes
most newer cars will take a .40-.45 gap.
Choke is a mode of air/fuel mixing that causes a rich mixture (meaning a lot of fuel). This is often used upon starting the engine. it is applied manually in older cars, but newer cars have an ECM to control such functions.
The fuse box in newer cars, is located in the engine compartment. The fuse box and older cars is located beneath the dashboard. The dashboard light fuse will be in the fuse box.
That would be the cooling system for the engine.
depends on the size of the container...
Off, but the engine should be warm. (wrong) Read below: It all depends on the make and model of your car. Some cars require you to check it with the engine running (could be in park or neutral). Some cars you check with the engine off but motor warm and on newer cars 2006-2012 a dealership has to check it.
