Your 1972 454 does not have sodium filled stainless steel valves with rotators as far as I know, so it would be unwise to run unleaded fuel. I would add a lead additive. Do so more research to make sure I am correct, but I am 98% sure I am.
Not necessarily, however if you want to get the best out of your Trans Am you need to use super unleaded. Thanks.
All are designed for regular unleaded All are designed for regular unleaded
Unleaded fuel was introduced in the mid 1980s, it depends what engine it has, if it needs leaded fuel you will need a new engine
HIGH octane 10w-30 oil will work fine. also if your engine hasn't had the new hardened valve guides put in the heads to run unleaded gas you need to add a lead additive to the gas tank when you add gas to the tank, all parts stores carry the additive. Actually, that's kind of an old wives tale. Very seldom will you burn up the exhaust seats (not the valve guides) running an old engine on unleaded. If you run it at high RPMs or towing/lugging it a lot, then maybe. If you have the heads completely redone at some point, you could go ahead and have them installed for piece of mind. But 98% of the time they will be just fine. use sunoco ultra 93 toget the best timing advanc for max power
reg unleaded
what is the torque pattern for ford 302 heads?
" regular " unleaded , 87 octane
My 2000 uses 87/unleaded in the manual
If something is done too quickly, it may be done carelessly and need to be redone.
It's Free! You just have to send a letter to Candice Olson telling why you need your room redone!
you have to buy another. Any requirements will probably need to be redone unless your leader will sign off on it
Better heads along with a different intake and carb. Bigger exhaust. A different camshaft. You would be the better off going to a 400ci.
