Yes, they do this to try and smell the identity of whoever has touched their property and later hunt down and kill the person. They are mistaken by many to be lazy, however despite their build, are know strangers to a brawl, like a burly biker or Sammo Hung from the series Martial Law. If a panda is seen, particularly at night time it is vital you keep your distance and cover any cuts or grazes to hide the smell of blood. The best method of protection is prevention however, and why are you touching baby pandas anyway? Weirdo.
