The highest risk group to act violently are males who are drug (including alcohol) abusers.
Some are, some are not. But violence does not become more prevalent among psychosis patients than those in the normal population.

That being said, schizophrenia is connected with drug use, which can cause violence. But violent schizophrenics are much rarer than the media suggests. I can't find any specific statistics on mental illness and violence, but I would guess that the number is in the range of 250-500 schizophrenic murderers in the US.

Yes, schizophrenics can become dangerous if the do not take there medications. The voices and hallucinations may become much more dominant. The patient could become violent. They could become very violent with no sign whatsoever. My mother works in the hospital. She worked with a schizophrenic man, who decided he didn't want to take his medication. Soon after words, he decided to hit a woman with his car.(Yes, then he was fired) I'm not saying all schizophrenics may be violent. No. That's not the point at all. Schizophrenics on medication are just fine. I have a schizo. Friend. She has her moments here and there, but she's a great person! If schizophrenics are off med's though, they could have the tendencies to become violent.
Yes, Schizophrenics are able to live normal lives. It's just what's inside their head that makes them the way they are. They get too paranoid and begin to hear things. It has been proven that with medication and treatment they can live normal lives.

PCP and other hallucinogens augment certain aspects of a user's personality, so if the person using it is violent, insecure, angry or paranoid, then it's likely that that person will be violent when high. If the person using it is a calm, peaceful person though, with no psychological problems and not fearful, then they will not be violent.
