Yes otherwise how would they hear the squawks of their family. They can tell if it's their family by the tone in their voice and they can't tell by their looks because they all look the same. So conclusion is, penguins do have ears, their just covered up by their feathers.

Yes, penguin ears are in the same place as ours. The only difference is that they have no external ear and that the opening is covered by feathers.
Yes. Penguins have ears on the sides of their head, but are hard to see. They have holes for ears instead of fleshy cartilage like us.
