A person does not complete the Eightfold Path, he follows it for all the cycles of life and death. After a person becomes enlightened (integrates the Eightfold Path into their being) they may reach Nirvana. This is not however "peace". Nirvana is a state of selfless existence.
They have already reached the peace.
The Buddha laid out the Eightfold Path as what he described as "the Middle Way" to reach enlightenment. This method is less severe than the path that The Buddha followed and avoids the extremes that he tried and failed at to reach enlightenment.
There are a few things that can happen when people reach Nirvana. People are generally said to have finally found peace.
The main goal of Buddhism is to reach enlightenment, or nirvana. You can reach Nirvana by learning and understanding the Four Noble Truths and following the Eightfold path.
Buddha does not speak of overcoming ignorance. He does indicate that desire is a product of an unskilled approach to life and desire is the cause of suffering. Controlling desire by following the Eightfold path's suggestions reduces or eliminates pain. Understanding and following the Eightfold Path leads to enlightenment. A Enlightenment allows Buddhists to reach the end of the cycle of death and rebirth and may, if the enlightened person desires, lead to entry into Nirvana. Existing in Nirvana allows the Buddhist to reach a state of selfless existence devoid of ego.

Nothing in the Eightfold Path is prohibitive for any Buddhist to follow. Other criteria such as the need for celibacy are applicable to monks, but these are not part of the Eightfold Path.Answer:The eightfold path is practised on the path of meditation. The path of meditation is the fourth of the five paths which encompass the whole journey until complete enlightenment. On the path of meditation you go from the 2. Bhumi to the 10. Bhumi. So, unless a lay practitioner (Buddhist) is already a 2. Bhumi-Bodhisattva (a highly realised being), it would be unrealistic to expect that he or she can perfectly practise the eightfold path right now. However, it is no unrealistic that a lay practitioner will at some point be able to practise the eightfold path since the scriptures explain in detail how to reach this level and there are accounts of realised beings who have gotten this far and even further.
No Buddhism.
