Here are a few animals that depend on Plankton to survive. Whale sharks ,Basking sharks Manta rays, Mackerel and Sea anemones. Many big animals in the ocean feed on Plankton and some can eat up to a ton a day. Plankton could be fish eggs krill or fish larve. Whale sharks have a clever way of getting a lot of plankton, when Grouper fish spawn, Whale sharks arrive an eat all the sperm and eggs produced meaning they get lot of plankton in one go.
Also 50% of all earths oxygen is produced by phytoplankton, so ultimtely all life on earth depens on plankton.
Basically the whole World depends on plankton etc indirectly, as they are the beginning of what scientists call 'The Food Chain'.
