Porcupines do not intentionally hurt people.
Like any wild animal, they have their own ways of self defense. When porcupines feel threatened they flex their body which makes sharp "needle-like" thorns stand up on their backside. This is a sign to GET AWAY. If the threat continues the porcupine will defend itself. You can actually pet porcupine *if tamed* but you should always go with the needles never against them *ouch*
yes they will roll up into a ball with their quills poked out if you get too close
Most likely they will try to avoid you as much as they can. If you really piss one off and back it into a corner or something, it can hurt you with its many sharp quills. They are more dangerous to dogs and other predators than humans.
no! they do sting and if you do not get the needle out in time it will hurt you.
EDIT: I've got a porcupine bite on my finger right now that would beg to differ. Apparently they don't so much bite, as they do SLASH. Their teeth are like razor blades, and my finger looks like it was on the wrong end of a malfunctioning razor. Yes, you can get bitten by a porcupine.
no porcupines are not poisonous but they are dangerous they have spikes on their backs
that can go threw your skin so basically in a way yes it is poisonous.
Only if you try to come near it and bother it otherwise its harmless
No, the quills are basically a combination of hair and fingernails.
no, unless if the porcupine is in its defensive position that's where it is raised in different directions but if quill is detached it means no harm unless you touch the sharp en
No they don't kill people.
yes
They hunt and kill
by their spiky hairs
fisher
they can kill with their quills like no one knows...
The best thing to do to help porcupines stay safe is to stop deforestation. Porcupines are being removed for their home by people who destroy their habitat.
No, unless its prickles somehow stabbed into the mountain lion.
yes because they use their spikes to kill animals and it eats stuff on the ground
porcupines see steff porcupines see steff

There are no porcupines in Australia, nor have there ever been porcupines in Australia.
