The simple answer is no initially. This is due to the fact that their current behaviour would be deemed the norm to that person. For example, if you think burping at the dinner table was a polite gesture and no one told you it was impolite, you would assume it to be a polite gesture. However, if one day your mum tells you off for burping at the table because it is rude and lists reasons why it is rude, you gain external information in regards to your behaviour. From this you are able to go away and process what you have been told and decide whether you are right or wrong. So, initially a psychopath would not know whether or not they are one because they consider it normal behaviour. That is why they need assistance from psychiatrist or psychologist to assist them in identifying they are one and producing a plan to solve the problem.
Even after being told one is a psychopath, it often seems meaningless to the one being diagnosed.

It's a fair bet. There was a recent study that claimed that there are a large fraction of people who might be described as "functional psychopaths" ... they rely on charm, rather than actual talent, to get by. And if that doesn't describe the music industry, I don't know what does.
