Rats are omnivorous creatures. Often if there is a dead rat near them, they will eat it to gain protein and other nutrients. In addition, they may also bite the ears of other rats in the same cage as them, though this is more of a stereotypical behaviour. Rat pups will also be eaten if there are foreign smells on them, so if your rat has babies please do not pick them up! If you absolutely need to pick them up, do so by scooping up the bedding around them, not by touching them directly!

One sure answer though, is that a rat can eat even a creature of the same kind or from the same phylum (Rodentia) because a colleague of mine had a hamster who died due to rat bites.

Rats can pretty much eat anything except for plastic, metal, rocks, & etc. I'm pretty sure that the rat would eat a dead bat not one that's alive because if it's alive it would eat the rat depending on the size of the rat you talking about like small mice.
yes if the snake doesn't eat it and the mice is left in there tank but this will not kill the snake but will damage its scales this may cause problems with the snake but if the snake is treated for the wounds it will eventually be OK but will have scarring
From personal experience my rat tends to eat small ants on the occasion. But all rats have a different personality. Unsure if it's healthy for them though.
