from dead organisims
Saprophytes are the plants which derive their food from the dead and decaying organic matter
Saprophyts are not parasites as they take food from dead or decaying orgnisams. Whereas parasites take food from living orgnisams
saprophytes
saprobes
Generally protists help in decomposition of dead organic matter by feeding on them.Such type of protists or bacteria are called saprophytes
Saprophytes.
Bacteria, mold, and other decomposers use dead material as an energy source.
Saprophytes are organisms that obtain their nutrients by feeding on dead or decaying organic matter. They play an important role in the decomposition process and recycling of nutrients in ecosystems. Examples include certain fungi and bacteria.
dead material this is a question of my science homework ugh
A dead organism has a dead body that can be decomposed by bacteria and myces that enrich the soil and are part of the food chain.
Nutritionally they are heterotrophic, they digest food outside the body and absorb it . Many are saprophytes (living off of dead material), parasites (living off of a live host) and some are mutualistic (living with another organism and helping it out).
It is not an autotroph, it is actually a hetotroph. It is a Hetotroph because it eats what it spawns on (The bread) and can't create food using sunlight. (It does, however, spawn better in sunlight)
