No, you cannot target a specific spot to lose, or not lose weight. When you lose weight, you lose it over the whole body. But why don't you try some cardio exercises to lose your unwanted fat and you can have a healthy heart too! Situps are used to build ab muscles rather than burning belly fat.
You can not burn only belly fat. It is impossible to target a single area to burn fat. You must reduce your overall fat percentage which will eventually reduce levels around your belly to be able to show your abdominal muscles. You must reduce your caloric intake below what your body uses in a day in order to create a deficit and beginning burning your fat stores. It is not necessary to have work out machines to get prominent abs. Do a mixture of aerobic, like running, along with military style excercises. Pushups, Situps, Crunches, Leg Lifts, etc. The key to getting a six pack is to reduce your body fat percentage to a level that will reveal your ab muscles.
Doing 5 or more situps everyday always helped me to get inches off my waist.
You cannot really 'target' fat as such, so exercise on a bike will be food as you will lose fat if you do the right intensity workout. You can though work the muscles underneath the fat which will improve tone around that area. The bike wont help with that, but crunches and sit ups will. If you combien situps and crunches with time on the bike you'll soon shift the fat.
What a lot of people don't seem to realize is that if you want to learn how to eliminate belly fat, you need to know what belly fat really is: It's not just fat around your belly. Almost all of the fat in your torso will move down around your belly when you stand up. Try laying down to see how much belly fat you really have. You need to lose weight around your whole body in order to reduce the fat around your waist, so don't just do situps, try walking, running and bicycling, too.
Get fit and do a lot of sit ups ...like 500 a day...yup that much...trust me .....it happened to me.... Sit ups will do nothing. Scientifically impossible to spot reduce.. meaning you cant do situps and just lose fat in that area. not to mention situps doesnt even work your penis area you idiot haha.... the flab is fat... to lose fat you must diet, cardio, and do strength training. its fat that is lost the same way fat is lost anywhere on your body. and what sucks about it is the places like you are speaking are usually the last places to start losing fat so be prepared to stick at it for the long haul. if you cant lost fat over your abs what would make you think it would be any easier 6inches down? haha
He didn't do situps, silly!
Do exercises that don't involve using the muscles and ligaments in your knee. situps/crunches, chin ups, weights etc.
be proud of your hips, first of all. We are women!!! But, don't try situps and crunches.. that works on the muscles, but not extra fluff fat. just do aerobic work, like running or jumping jacks. Is it fat or skin? try getting the skin tighter with gels, that could work. if you still try situps, do the ones where you twist to the sides.
