Salvation by grace alone and through faith alone.
Salvation is by grace alone, through faith alone, in Christ alone, according to the Bible alone.
Yes. Luther taught that faith in the Lord Jesus Christ is the path to salvation. However he also belived by "Faith alone, by Grace alone, by Christ alone- there lies our Salvation. Lutheran's also believe that Christ's Sacraments- Baptism and Holy Communion are a "Means of Grace"- where Jesus Christ is attached through Water, Bread and Wine-The True Body and Blood of our Lord.
The Reformed Church is Protestant, I believe.
As of 2012, there are about 45,000 Christian denominations in the world. That is a great deal too many to list, but for the sake of the question at hand, the attempt will be made to bring up one of the most common differences: Salvation. Oneness Pentecostals generally believe that it is granted through faith alone, but that water and spiritual baptism are both integral parts of that faith. Lutherans believe that salvation is given through faith alone, without the requirement of baptism that Oneness Pentecostals teach; however, they also teach predestination, saying that Christ died for a select group of people throughout history and they alone will come to salvation. Methodists, while believing in salvation through faith, teach that Christ died for all of humanity, and not a select few. Mennonites also believe in salvation through faith, but view baptism to be three-fold: Water, Spirit and self-denial. Finally, Roman Catholics believe that salvation comes through baptism, can be lost by committing mortal sins, and that it can be regained through acts of penance- In short, salvation comes through the combination of faith and works.
Well, both Martin Luther and the Catholics believed that salvation came from the grace of God. Martin luther believed that one was saved though faith alone. The Catholics believe that one is saved through both faith and good works.
Both religions believe in salvation through faith alone and both see only the Bible (as opposed to: "... plus Catholic Church teachings") as the source of that faith. Calvinism however believes (well, mostly used to believe) in predestination, meaning that however you lived your life eternal salvation or damnation was already predestined at you birth. Lutherans believe that salvation is also determined by how you have lived your life. Another difference was that Lutherans retained more 'Catholic" liturgical practices in their church services.
Salvation by faith alone.
False. Martin Luther believed that humans gain salvation through grace alone. He believed there was nothing anyone could do to make them worthy of salvation, but that it was only through God's grace and mercy that anyone could be saved. This did not mean, however, that faith and good works were to be ignored, but rather that they could not buy salvation.
follow the ten commandments, read The Bible personally and often as God's inspired Word, attend church for worship, live a sin free life. In Protestantism there is a heavy focus on personal responsiblity and the "Protestant Work Ethic". Traditional Protestantism and traditional Protestant mainstream sect generally follow the historical " 5 Solo's(alone)" derived from the Proestant Reformation Reformers: 1. We are saved through Grace alone 2.) through Christ alone 3.)through Faith alone 4.through(knowledge of)the Scripture(bible) alone 5. to the Glory of God alone. Regarding good works, Protestants believe that good works do not attain salvation, but are a "fruit of the spirit", an inward desire to help others as a response to God's gift of salvation from his only Son the Lord Jesus Christ.

Do you mean Roman Catholic? If so many Christians believe that salvation is brought about by faith alone in Christ alone, without works.
