God considers dabbling in occult topics an abomination, something he hates very much. The reason for this is he is a holy God, meaning set apart, as we are supposed to be as Christians. The second reason is that He is a jealous God, which means that He wants us to rely on Him and His wisdom, not on Satan for the answers for our lives. Satan is out to kill and destroy us, so why would you want to go to him with your curiosity? It is because a person is curious and dissatisfied with what God has revealed for their lives that makes them to turn to astrology etc. in the occult world. It is a trap of the enemy, but the world and a lot of Christians don't want to hear this. Scripture is very clear about this. God loves you and doesn't want you to fall into the traps of the enemy. He has what you need for your life, much better than anything Satan has for you. If you are supposed to know something in your life, God will show you. Don't distrust God and fall into the trap of the enemy. Trust God and Him alone.
