No, categories and subcategories are based on need. If the site starts getting a lot of questions on a company (or any other subject), then a category will be added to help organize those questions.

Why is selenium the only element to have its own subcategory in WikiAnswers under 'Elements and Compounds'?
Apparently, that was only one that had enough questions to warrant and which someone requested the category.

Answers on WikiAnswers are meant to be answered with a single, unified answer. Users should not remove an answer to replace it with their own unless the existing answer is entirely incorrect.
