If you mean supervisors at most workplaces, yes they do. However, if you mean WikiAnswers, no. Volunteer supervisors and senior supervisors are not paid. It is the Community Assistants who get paid, since they actually work for Answers.
i have no idea, i hope someone who knows the answer will give me an answer, hey one of the supervisors, if you happen to read this, would you leave an answer because you say that sarcasm is not allowed
A reCAPTCHA was added on Message Boards for all Non-Supervisors or members of the Community Outreach Program to cut down on excessive Message Board chatting. If you want to send a message, an extra few seconds isn't too much of an effort.
Only supervisors have a WikiAnswers email account. For supervisors, you should see a link that says "My Email" in the toolbar under "My Pages" to access your email account. For all other users you can communicate with other users by using the message boards on the site to send messages.
Yes. Message boards are public and anyone can see them.
It is true that the old message boards had no privacy. Anyone could see what was said on anyone's message board. That was appropriate enough at the time. This is not a social networking site nor an email site. The message boards are mainly there to facilitate the primary goals of this site. If you have questions about a question, answer, or other action on the site, then that is what the message boards are for. With them being publicly readable, it tended to help keep everyone on their best behavior in there. The main purpose for them was to be able to collaborate and work together. Now with the new layout, things are different. Mostly only advanced supervisors and community assistants can read other people's mail now, though if others know the correct URL sequence, they can still access them. So even now, you don't want to get into heated disputes or any inappropriate behavior in people's message boards.
Only WikiAnswers' Supervisors can access @WikiAnswers email addresses. They can access that email by clicking the "My email" link in the Blue Bar. Non-Supervisors can use the message board system to contact other contributors. Please see the Help Center link located in the Related Links section of this answer for more details on the message boards.

On message boards, a sticky message is a message that cannot be replied to or deleted.
In online forums and message boards the acronym OT is usually short for "off topic."
No, spamming is unacceptable here on WikiAnswers. In fact, there is are group of people here called Supervisors, and their jobs is to get rid of spam on the site and block any person who violates the rules. Plus, some Supervisors become on the Vandal Patrol which is a gang of Supervisors, that look on various questions and message boards looking for spam and inappropriate language. If you like spamming sites, let me tell you, that WikiAnswers is not a good place to do it. If everyone were to create an effort, this site would be the most helpful question and reference topic site on the web.
