Yes, a supervisor can look at the "Question history" (in the blue bar to the left of the page) to see who asked and answered a question.
However, please be aware that it is absolutely acceptable to ask and answer your own question. (See the Related question on this very topic.)
Some answers are removed by us supervisors - if the're insulting, gibberish or don't actually answer the question. That way another more sensible contributor can take credit for a better answer.
Volunteers and supervisors answer questions. The Contributor is listed in the Question History.
WikiAnswers is a large site and there are more than 16 million questions. Your question gets answered if a contributor notices it and answers it.
If you believe that your answer is correct, but a contributor keeps spamming/changing the answer, let a supervisor know. They may be able to protect the question, and/or block the contributor.
Ask sensible questions, answer sensible answers, only answer questions if you know the question, and Wikianswers isn't here for jokes and riddles.
They don't. Sometimes supervisors may accidentally do that, but they will always fix it later. When supervisors combine questions into another question, that is called "merging." This is necessary when many questions are asking the same thing. For example, the following questions are asking the same thing:Why aren't the answers to my questions good? How come the answers are sarcastic on WikiAnswers? Why does WikiAnswers prove not good at getting you right answers? These will all be merged into one primary question:Why are there no good answers to my questions?
Yes. For your information, the site that you are posting this question IS WikiAnswers. Sometimes, it is true that WikiAnswers' answers are not true. However, most of the answers are true. Sometimes, there are vandals who make turn true answers to false answers, but it is false to say that WikiAnswers is not true. Everyone who uses the site is a contributor. You could talk to them in the Community Forum. Or if someone answers your question or gives an answer you like, you can find out who they are in the answer history and then leave them a personal message. Do note that personal messages are not private nor secret and are subject to being read by advanced supervisors and community assistants should complaints or a dispute arise.
WikiAnswers supervisors can set an alternate wording of a question to be the primary wording. The primary wording will then become an alternate wording of the new primary question. Supervisors can also revert answers back to their previous versions. You can read more about becoming a supervisor at the link below.
Only Supervisors, Community Assistants, or employees of Answers Corporation have WikiAnswers email addresses.
Supervisors are a special group of users on WikiAnswers who have special powers on the website. Supervisor powers include the ability to merge questions, set question alternates as the primary wording for questions, and the power to block users who are making counterproductive edits to the wiki. Supervisors are users who have demonstrated that they are trustworthy editors and have contributed many helpful answers to WikiAnswers in the past.
Within the Wikianswers setting, Supervisors keep track of what is going on in their categories. We may answer questions, or review the answers that other people have made. We may move a question to another category, or remove (trash) a question that is inappropriate, or asks about illegal acts. We may discipline people that are making nonsense answers, or trashing valid answers.
