No, tampons cannot stretch your vaginal opening.

The vagina is a muscular tube so cannot be stretched - just like your arm cannot be made longer by exercising more. Your vagina is designed to allow a penis to enter it and a baby to come out of it, in both cases although the vagina will stretch to accommodate these things it will always return to normal - tampons are so small it wouldn't even need to stretch.

Tampon use may stretch the hymen - the hymen is a thin piece of tissue surrounding the vaginal opening, normally there's enough room to allow a tampon through without any problem, but if your hymen is wider using a tampon may stretch the hymen. The hymen is simply left-over tissue from development in the womb, it serves no function so it being stretched or torn makes no difference to your vagina or anything else.

Is there a layer to brake when you use a tampon?

No, there is no layer to break when using tampons. You may be getting confused about the hymen - this is tissue that surrounds the vaginal opening in some girls, however the hymen normally doesn't cover much of the vaginal opening so a tampon can easily pass through it, the hymen is also flexible so can stretch to accommodate larger things. Tampons can tear the hymen, but this is uncommon.

Do vaginae stretch and feel sore during menstruation?

While there is a certain amount of soreness associated with menses it is not usually vaginal. The vaginal soreness may be from leaving tampons in longer than 4 hours. Tampons should be changed every 4 hours, even during light days. There is not any vaginal stretch associated with menses but there is extra lubrication which may give the illusion of stretch.

How do you check to see if a girl has not done sex?

The vaginal orifice has a narrowed and difficult to stretch opening.

What if your hymen is thick and you cant get a tampon in will it stretch or can you get rid of it if so how?

The hymen will stretch - stretch using fingers or clean smooth items suitable for vaginal infection, don't use tampons to stretch the hymen as tampons are rough and drying so will cause irritation when used for this purpose. Use coconut oil or olive oil as a lubricant and to help prevent damage. If you cannot stretch the hymen yourself you may need a doctor to surgically remove your hymen.

Can your hole get bigger if you put something in it?

Yes, your vaginal opening or vaginal canal will get bigger when you insert things into it, but it will always return to normal afterwards. Your vagina will open and increase in size when aroused, but also it will stretch to accomodate larger things - the vaginal walls have what are known as rugae, which are like pleats that allow the vagina to stretch.

Do tampons break your hymen?

Yes, any penetration of the vagina can tear or break the hymen, depending on the hymen's shape and thickness. Sometimes strenuous sports can break it. A finger, a tampon, a sex toy, or a penis might break it. However, some hymens are simply too thick to break or substantially stretch without a great deal of effort and pain, in which case you may want to consider a hymenotomy (incision which widens the opening) or a hymenectomy (complete removal of the hymen). No it's too small. But if you do some hard fiscal activity then yes it's possible.Yes,it can break your hyman and you will know when it happens many other things can break it aswell.

Can a tampon get stuck inside you on its own accord or does it have to be pushed somehow?

Tampons can't get stuck inside you. Tampons can go no further than your vaginal canal, this is because at the top of the vaginal canal is the cervix (opening to the uterus) and a tampon cannot pass through this. As long as you relax and you're using tampons correctly you can remove a tampon - if you struggle then you'd need to see your doctor for help to remove the tampon.

What causes vaginal lesions?

One of the most common causes of vaginal lesions are tampons - as tampons absorb vaginal moisture and rough fribes (especially rayon) cause friction against vaginal walls, tampons can cause lesions to vaginal walls...which is one reason why tampons are linked with increased menstrual bleeding and TSS. Vagonal lesions can also be caused by some forms of spermicidal gels, vaginal infections such as yeast infections where skin is damaged by the infection itself or by itching, sex or other forms of sexual activity with vaginal penetration, and sexual examinations.

Why cant you use a tampon while using monistat?

Monistat is used to treat vaginal infections - tampons should never be used during a vaginal infection. Tampons are a major cause of vaginal infections as they encourage harmful bacterial growth, prevent vaginal cleaning, and effect vaginal pH - thus could make your infection worse or trigger another infection, using tampons when your vaginal flora i sout of balance also increases risks of toxic shock syndrome. The treatment needs to be allowed to readjust your vaginal flora and flush out, tampons prevent this.

Can you use tampons with a prolapse ring?

No, a tampon cannot get stuck in the uterus. Tampons sit within the vaginal canal, at the top of the vaginal canal is the cervix which is the opening to the uterus - the opening within the cervix is too small for a tampon to pass through, also the tampon sits slightly lower down than the cervix.

Are tampons com fortable?

Tampons are very comfortable. With pads it kind of feels like a diaper, but with tampon you literally cannot feel anything! They are great because it gives you a lot of freedom as well. Hope this helped(:

How 2 break the hymen with a tampon?

Your hymen doesn't 'break' - it can wear away, stretch or tear partly or fully. There's no reason to purposefully tear your hymen, this would potentially cause you pain or discomfort and is unnecessary - the hymen doesn't cover much of the vaginal opening and is flexible so can stretch to allow items into the vagina. It's uncommon for tampons to tear the hymen, even after sexual intercourse the hymen can remain in tact.
