No. Your cells need salt in then to swell. Also "lyse" means to break. Your cells do not break when and if you drink water. So the answer is no.

You'd get an increased water concentration, that will, force water into your cells and tissues, causing your body to swell.

What would happen to your cells in your body if you drink salt water?

you become dehydrated because thwe concentration of salt is in salt water than in your cells, so water flows out of your cells to balance the concentrations.

How does the body retain water?

The body retains water through a delicate balance of hormones like aldosterone and anti-diuretic hormone (ADH) that help regulate fluid levels by controlling how much water the kidneys reabsorb. Additionally, the body's cells also play a role in retaining water through osmosis, where water moves into cells to maintain proper hydration levels.

Why is it necessary to drink adequate amounts of water each day?

It keeps the body hydrated, helps promote elasticity in skin cells, help in avoiding water retention in the body (the more water you drink, the less you retail), and rids the body of a false sense of hunger.

How does water help your organs?

Your body is 75% made up of water. So when you drink water you replenish the waste from the cells that make up the tissues, that make up the organs of your body. Water is a "must have" for the body.

Effects of water intake on the fluid balance of the body?

As your body becomes saturated your cells swell up with the water. If you are slightly or severely dehydrated, your cells shrink, but when you drink water they "plump" back up to a healthy size and are able to exchange gases (like oxygen and carbon dioxide), amino acids (proteins in your food and in your body), and hormones productively again. This is one reason why people feel tired when slightly dehydrated and a simple glass of water can perk them up. But if interested, one can actually overhydrate their body and drown from the inside out because cells will burst when oversaturated and it is possible to burst too many. Most people do not need to worry about this at all, though, because most people do not drink enough water and are slightly dehydrated much of the time.

Should I drink plenty of water when I take a multivitamin?

It helps to flush your body free of toxins and helps your cells to absorb vitamins when you drink water. However, as long as you are hydrated, it doesn't have to be water in particular.

What will happen to the cells in your body if you drink sea water?

When you drink a regular glass of water, most of it is absorbed by osmosis through cells lining your small intestine. If you drink salt water then salt is added to the blood stream and your blood then becomes hypertonic to the entire solution (meaning is has more solute (salt) than normal), and your cells will lose water because your body is trying to dilute all that salt. So your cells will lose water and shrink.

Why don't people swell up and burst when people swim in water that is hypnotic solution to people's cells and body fluids?

Hypotonic solutions have a lower concentration of solutes compared to our body fluids. When we swim in a hypotonic solution, water enters our cells via osmosis to equalize the concentration, but our cells have mechanisms to regulate the influx of water, preventing them from swelling up and bursting.
