Thanks largely to Cartoons and trick recording techniques ( like the Chipmunks) there is very little actual demand for Child Actors and Actresses today. the potential for abuse is very high-voltage and real. These situations do not arise with cartoons, who have adult voicers and can use trick sound effects to raise or lower the pitch. Sometimes children appear in commercials ( more often radio than TV) for adult products such as Automobiles. This , sometimes called thje(Heidi) gambit, should not be allowed. Look at the Jon Benet Ramsey tragedy! these are not walks for kids ( children in performing arts, models, actresses< etc>) not on my watch.
