To dismantle the cylinder head of a Daewoo Matiz, first ensure the engine is cool and disconnect the battery. Remove the intake and exhaust manifolds, along with any attached components like the throttle body and fuel lines. Then, unbolt the cylinder head from the engine block, typically starting with the rocker cover to access the head bolts. Carefully lift the cylinder head off, ensuring no debris falls into the engine block.
The torque specification for the cylinder head bolts on a 2002 Daewoo 1.6 engine is typically around 58-63 lb-ft (79-85 Nm). It's important to follow the manufacturer's recommended torque sequence and procedures to ensure proper sealing and avoid warping the head. Always use a calibrated torque wrench for accuracy during installation.
