No, C major and A minor are not the same. They are different keys in music, with different scales and tonalities. C major is a major key, while A minor is a minor key.
all instruments have the same minor scale.... actually they all have the same scales whether they be minor, major, melodic... etc. scales are not instrument specific but rather mode specific. there are also three different types of minor scales.
The major and minor pentatonic scales share the same notes, but they have different starting points. The major pentatonic scale starts on the 1st note of the major scale, while the minor pentatonic scale starts on the 6th note of the major scale.
The same scales as any instrument, all instruments play all scales. In western music - major scales, minor scales and modes are the main ones, but there are more.
No. Parallel key signatures share the same tonic, or starting note. Relative minor/major are the scales that share a key signature.
There are three commonly used minor scales. Harmonic minor scales have raised 7ths. Melodic minor scales have rising 6th and 7th; where descending scale is same has natural minor which follows the key.
Technically, none. If a scale has sharps then it won't have flats and vice-versa. But, in this case it's a matter of semantics: A flat is the same as G sharp and there are several scales that have both G sharp and C sharp - for example, D major, A major, E major, B major, F# major, C# major, G# major, B minor, F# minor, C# minor, G# minor - and then there are the other 5 modes besides major and minor. As well, C# is the same as D flat. D flat and A flat are also found in several scales.
The Pentatonic is by far the most useful, because anything you play with the pentatonic will sound good. Major/Minor pentatonics are exactly the same shapes for related scales e.g. A minor and C major use the same notes, and B minor and D major use the same notes. You only need to add a few notes to get a full Major or Minor scale, of a Modal Scale. The octave ( eight steps single notes) is probably the most easiest, it propably sounds like this do ra me fa so la te do. This can be used with any major scale.
the way i learnt i major scales was by my teacher, he showed me the shape, and it applies to all major scales. just look on youtube or something for a Cmajor scale. its all over the place. minor scales arent so different, Aminor and C major even have exactly the same notes! now work that out! ;)
There many scales, also called modes. They are Ionian, Dorian, Phrygian, Lydian, Mixolydian, Aolian, and Locrian. An easy way to remember it is I Dont Particularly Like Meeting A Lion (each word stands for one of the scales). However, if you were wishing for a simpler answer, major and minor are the two main kinds of scales. *Note: Ionian is the same as major, while Aolian is the same as minor*
A major key sound confident and happy, while a minor key sounds sinister or sad.a minor key could also mean that you have minor scales or minor chords or minor intervals! thanks hope i helped! by kjw
Modes and scales are both sequences of musical notes, but they differ in how they are constructed and used. Scales are a series of notes arranged in a specific pattern, such as major or minor, while modes are variations of scales that start on different notes within the same scale. In simpler terms, scales are like the building blocks of music, while modes are different ways to use those building blocks to create different sounds and moods in a piece of music.
