No! That is an American holliday. If you think of why one celebrates Thanksgiving, it would make no sense that europeans should.

A Different View

Thanksgiving is the celebration of the harvest, despite what you read above, the Americans are certainly not the only culture who celebrate Thanksgiving since growing crops and harvesting those crops have been taking place before America was America.

Long before Europeans settled in North America, festivals of thanks and celebrations of harvest took place in Europe in the month of October.

Thanksgiving is not a Norwegian tradition, but some still celebrate it, and in some stores you can even buy decorations. Other than those who choose to celebrate it, Norwegians normally just eat regular dinner.

No, Norway does not celebrate 4th of July because the Fourth of July is an American holiday, celebrating our independence and freedom from other countries and most importantly the British Parliamenet, or rule.
