According to the drawing of the engine compartment in the 1999 Lincoln Town Car Owner Guide : The automatic transmission fluid dipstick is by the firewall , in the engine compartment , just on the passenger side of the engine in the engine compartment ( it is hidden by the engine cover )

I was looking at the 1999 Lincoln Town Car Owner Guide and it shows : The fuel pump shut off switch ( inertia switch ) with the reset button on top is located in the trunk , on the drivers side , behind the trunk liner * But the drawing shows it is mounted on a bracket by the drivers side trunk lid hinge *
