It's supposed to be a Pain Killer. To me Acetaminophen 650 mg is more effective. i take 100 mg of tramadol along with a 650 mg of tylonal Arthritis for pain, & it gets me through a 24 hr. period. i tried just tramadol with no relief, & the dr. suggested taking an arthritis tylonal along with it

Tramadol, also called Ultram is a non-narcotic pain reliever. It is often prescibed when someone needs stronger pain relief than say Tylenol or ibuprofen but doesn't necessarily need the potent, potentially addictive narcotic pain relievers like Oxycodone or Hydrocodone.

Tylenol (TM) and Tylenol Extra Strength (TM) are over the counter pain relievers. Both treat mild to moderate pain. They have no "muscle relaxer" effect.
