No. If you connect two 12 volt batteries in series(positive to negative) to make 24 volts, you will have 100 amp hours.

If you connect two 12 volt batteries in parallel(pos to pos, neg to neg) you will stay at 12 volts but have 200 amp hours

Which is better for trailer operation two six volt batteries in series or two 12 volt in parallel?

I would opt for the two twelve volt batteries in parallel. This configuration will give you the voltage that you need for the system to properly operate plus the endurance time that you can draw from the batteries will be doubled. The amp/hours capacity of batteries when in parallel are additive.

Can you parallel 4 sets of 6 volt batteries to get 12volts at the same time having the same batteries in series for a 48 volt laod?

Paralleling four sets of 6 volt batteries will still give you 6 volts. Two 6 volt batteries in series will give you 12 volts. Parallel these series sets will give you longer endurance at 12 volts. There is no way you will ever get 48 volts out of four 6 volt batteries.

What will happen to battery capacity if two batteries are joined?

Connecting two 12 volt batteries together in series would doubled the amp hours ie 125amp hour +125amp hour = 250amp hour and the voltage stays the same at 12 volts. Connect them in parallel and the voltage will double to 24 volts and the amp hours will stay the same ie 125 amp hours.

How do you get 24 volts from 2 batteries not in series?

Two 24 volt batteries in parallel will give you 24 volts. The only other way is two 12 volt batteries in series.

Will 3 12volt batteries wired in series provide the same results as 6 6volt batteries?

Depends on the amperage of the batteries you are using. Both setups will give you 36 volts, but you will normally have a longer run time with six 6 volt batteries in series than three 12 volt batteries. That is why golf carts use 6 volt instead of 12 volt batteries.

How to hook a 24 volt trolling motor to 2 12 volt batteries?

You would need to connect the two 12 volt batteries in series. That will give you 24 volts and the amps of one of the batteries. Voltage doubles and amps stay the same.

Can you use a 12 Volt Charger on 2 6 Volt Batteries?

You cannot use a 12 volt charger to charge 2.6 volt batteries. The 2.6 volt batteries will become hot, very quickly, and explode.

Can 4 8 volt batteries replace 6 6 volt batteries?

yes

Can you use three 12 volt batteries for 6 volt batteries in an ezgo golf cart?

No!

Is it practical to connect batteries of different emfs in series?

You can connect batteries with different voltages in series (a 6 volt and a 12 volt would give you 18 volts), but never in parallel (difference of potential will create an arc, batteries could blow up).

How many amps do 8 6 volt dc batteries put out?

The amperage drawn from batteries is governed by the connected load. The voltage of the batteries can be one of two voltages. in parallel the 8 batteries will give you a voltage of 6 volts. In series the 8 batteries will give you a voltage of 48 volts. The amp/hour capacity of the batteries will give you the amount of current the device can draw over a specific length of time. Equation to fine amperage is I = W/E, Amps = Watts/Volts. Watts = Amps x Volts.

How do you connect several 12 volt batteries to make 24 volt?

you only need two 12 volt batteries to make 24 volt. connect them in series
