Well it depends on how well the two mice get along together. If they get along nicely the babies should be all right.Just keep checking in on them to make sure no babies go missing. If one does taking the mouse out quicky. If they don't get along take one out.
Could you answer for Rats?
If you handle their baby they will smell you on them and may disown them.
They are very protective so don't try to handle or pick her up for quite some weeks!! Painful!!!
Put torn newspaper in the cage so she can make a new nest each week. She will carry her babies by the back of their necks. This is normal.
She will also eat more.
yes because they dont fight of breed together but be carefull if u have alot they dont pile on each other and break bones
The only ones you should keep in a cage together is the mother and the babies.
i wouldn't advise it.
seperate them.
no they both have female hormones so they cant create a baby without a sperm
No, mice and rats are two different species. Rats have rat babies, mice have mouse babies.
Baby mice can be separated once they can see and hear and have fur as long as you can tell the difference between a boy and a girl. Because mice can have babies when they are 4 weeks old!
the female mice should not hurt the babies but may become jelous so i would put them in separate cages to be on the safe side.. but if she is in a cage with two other females how did it get pregnant??
mice do
No.
They have 8 babies.
No they do not die after having babies.
Mice are prolific breeders and on average have around 8-12 babies. However some mice have been known to have just 1 pup and others around 20 pups! If your planning on having mice babies or breeding your mice just be prepared for lotsa pups!!!
There are a few ways. Do not let them have babies. Keep the mother and babies away from all other mice.
Male mice will not care for the baby mice but they will eat the babies.
yes
Field mice can have 5 to 10 litters of babies a year. The number of babies will vary depending on the size of the mouse. Field mice carry all types of diseases.
